Last July 8,  VIU organized a Zoom call to present the internship and mobility opportunities for Globalization Program students enrolled for the 1st semester 2021-2022.

During the Zoom meeting on July 7, information was given about the Globalization Program, about course registration, housing, and VIU covid-19 protocols.

July 8, 1pm CEST 

VIU promotes international mobility by providing internship opportunities and scholarships to students of the member universities who attend the Globalization Program. Following the semester of courses at VIU, selected students are offered internships at research centers, universities, cultural organizations and companies in Italy and abroad.

An online info session has been organized to present the internship and mobility opportunities for Globalization Program students enrolled for the 1st semester 2021-2022.

Students who are already pre-registered will receive the link by email on the day of the meeting.

The Globalization Program staff is preparing for the beginning of the 1st semester of 2021-2022 and a first appointment for the students will be the Virtual Orientation meeting, scheduled on Wednesday July 7, at 1pm CEST.

The meeting is open to the students who have already pre-registered for the upcoming semester but also to other interested students who can sign up here:

I am very glad that "History and Memory" is now one of the specialization tracks of the VIU Globalization Program. We live in forgetful times, with little sense of the past and of the future.

History is more useful than ever to young generations from whatever discipline. It helps to put things in perspective. The essence of things can be spotted by trying to explain where they come from and how they became what they are.

The Closing Ceremony of the 2nd semester 2021 of the Globalization Program will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 5.00 pm, in a dual mode ( in presence and on zoom).

At the end of May, more than 100 students of 18 nationalities will conclude their semester of courses at VIU.

The new status of yellow region for the Veneto allows group sports in the open air.

The online pre-registrations for the 1st semester AY 2021-2022 opened on May 3 and will close on September 8, 2021. The link to the pre-registration form is published in the Globalization Program section of the VIU website, in a white box at the side of the pages.

N.B. The Students need to pre-register to VIU portal in order to receive the login and password necessary to login to their personal page and to register for courses.

Accommodation
Students have the possibility to request help in finding accommodation in Venice. Places are limited and assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
There are two accommodation options:
1 - VIU campus: dorms on San Servolo island
2 - A place in apartments in the city

Before requesting for accommodation, please read carefully the info on accommodation and the Student accommodation guidelines on our website (link), containing the procedure of request and useful details on accommodation options, prices and deadlines.
Deadline for application: June 3, 2021.

The accommodation form will be accessible from the personal page after logging in the VIU website (login link in homepage).

Scholarships
Students can apply for a RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) Scholarship, awarded to talented students to contribute to the cost of living in Venice for a semester and to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program.
Deadline to apply: June 3, 2021.

As the Covid-19 restrictions start to ease, we can begin to think of travel again and look forward to opportunities next year!

VIU will soon issue a new round of Erasmus+ calls for application for study, teaching, and training opportunities in the member universities in the EU, UK,  Israel, Russia, and Canada. Students, professors, and staff in VIU's Italian member universities are eligible to apply.
